Re: christmas traditions?
We normally make cinnamon buns and just relax Christmas morning before the rushing around ensues. I'm not sure if we will do that this year or not while we are living with the ILs though.
I'm excited to have kids so we can also start some new ones!
We opened up 1 gift christmas eve growing up, we also had cinnamon buns for breakfast as well.

We always have christmas eve with the ILs, and christmas day with my family. Christmas eve we make all finger foods and apps for our meal. Last year, I started a tradition of playing bingo, winners got lotto scratch offs or candy.
We buy our yearly ornament on our anniversary, at macy's every year.
I want to start new traditions, but will have to wait until kids come along (hopefully).
Growing up, we used to have a Kringle danish but they are getting harder to find. Im replacing that with TJ's chocolate filled croissants for christmas morning. We always got new PJs to open on Christmas eve growing up as well.
The ultimate tradition in our family is to cut down our Christmas tree at a farm the weekend of Thanksgiving. We have been doing this since I was little. I lvoe it and look forward to it all year
1. have you established any christmas traditions with your dh (and kids if applicable)?? We've decided on a couple so far. The first we established a couple of years ago - we eat Thai food on Xmas Eve. This only happened because it was the only place open and we didn't want to cook that night!
I've decided we'll get Lucie an ornament each year so that when she leaves home she will have a collection already.
We drive to a neighborhood called the Fab Forties in midtown Sac and look at the lights in the week before Xmas.
I've started the tradition of a new pair of Xmas pjs each year
2. do you want to start any traditions? See above
3. what traditions did you grow up with? We'd always play cards during Xmas evening (we still try to though it's harder with kids!), we would watch the Queen's speech at 3 .p.m. (now it's 7 a.m. here!), we would go to midnight mass and the Christingle service on Xmas Eve and then watch Mr. Bean before going to bed on Xmas Eve! Also, in our family we leave out a mince pie and port for Santa - it's a British thing!
