A good friend of mine from college lost her 3 year old daughter on Saturday. And if that isn't bad enough by itself, the way that it happened is so absolutely tragic that I just can not stop crying.
They live in the country and my friend was driving in a pasture checking cows and her daughter fell out of the passenger window of the truck and then was ran over by the truck...that the mom was driving.
I know that some of you might give her the side eye because her daughter wasn't in a carseat or belted in, but I can totally understand thinking that because you were in a pasture with zero possibility of a crash that it would be ok.
I know that there is no "good" way to lose a child...but to add on the guilt of it being an avoidable accident and being the one driving is just way more than any parent should ever have to go through.
They also have 2 other children, a 4 year old daughter and a son that is a year and a half. I can't imagine how they are going to make Christmas a joyous occasion after this...
Re: T&Ps for a friend please...
That is just horrific. So sorry for them. Lots of Ts&Ps heading their way. I hope the mom finds the strength to get through.
FWIW, growing up in a farming community, I totally know what you're talking about when driving in the pasture. We used to do that kind of stuff all of time.

Agreed. No judgment here. How absolutely awful. T&P for the family.
Our crazy, wonderful life
That's incredibly heartbreaking... I can't help but cry for her.
Many, many t&p to her family for her peace and for their healing. I can't even begin to imagine such a devastating loss.
