Christmas and Hanukkah question
I was just thinking what is something that signifies that it is the holiday for you. Something you or your family does that it isn't the holiday without?
Re: Christmas and Hanukkah question
Growing up, it was listening to Christmas music on an A.M. radio station (WJR 760, SE MI people!) and baking sugar cookies on Christmas Eve. We plan on doing it this year again (except we'll be using Pandora).
Now, with Josh, we don't do a ton yet, but the tree has to be up to feel like the holidays. Then we sit in our living room admiring it on quiet (hopefully cold!) nights and just chat away.

For DH and I it's putting up our Christmas decorations and getting one of those kids chocolate advent calendars. Everyday Dh and I split the little candy in it.
As family traditions. I go shopping with my Dad for my Mom every year. We always have lunch and check out all the decorations in the stores. This year my Dad came to visit me and I took him all over. It was the best day.
