I am officially back to my maiden name! YAY!
Now DD and I have the same last name since I was smart enough to not give in to my X and IL's request and gave her my maiden name at birth.
A rose may smell as sweet with another name, but I promise it FEELS better being called a rose.

Re: Reclaiming my name
They see us rollin'...they be hatin'.
Me too! Considering I had only changed it 1 month before we split, most places never even knew I had another name, unless there was legal paperwork/ID checking.
Yes. I was married and gave DD my maiden name. You can give you child any last name you want.
Sorry, I realized that was a stupid question after I wrote it, but it was too late to delete. If it's your maiden name, obviously you were married. Sorry, my brian is a bi foggy these days between pregnancy and stress. Anyway, that's great to know. I didn't realize I had that choice.
