Re: clicky: girly q

  • unless I'm going for a run, when I have a tampon in I also wear a pad.  I had a leakage experience that scarred my ego a little bit in 8th grade so it's an insurance policy of sorts

  • what sparked this question?

haha it might be TMI since it's KTFU related...so cover your ears/eyes if you don't want to know some gross details of pregnancy!

on the feb momz board, the girls are talking about the bleeding that happens after you give birth...it could be anywhere from a few days to a few weeks....and you can't use tampons/cup....either way, lots of the girls are saying they never-ever-ever use pads, and haven't since jr.high.  i just think that's strange.  i think pads are perfectly normal, but that's cause my mom has never used tampons.

that's dumb.  it's not like "oh pads are SO 1996", I mean, sometimes you have to use a pad.  The first day or so of my period is really heavy and it's just easier to use a pad.  I also feel weird about sleeping in tampons.  But I love tampons and use them as much as I can.  My mom has also never used tampons.

  • lol so these gals are cool with pushing a kid out but concerned about having to go back to their jr. high days of wearing a pad?

Shouldn't they have bigger things to worry about?

  • I use pads, but not the generic store brand.

  • Jenn (or any of the KTFU girls), I have a TON of left over pads from when M was born (I only bled for a couple weeks and not very much), so if you need any, let me know! They're the Always Infinity Overnights (the orange ones). :)

agree! i use tampons mostly..but i like to "take breaks" and use pads in between so there's not always a foreign object in my body... i don't see anything wrong with using pads....

  • I don't get periods thanks to my mirena :p.

    Before, I used tampons exclusively.

some people get them, but really light. some people get normal periods. others (like me) get none at all.

  • Thanks to skipping out week on my nuva ring - I only have periods 4 times a year. For the most part I stick to pads.

  • I use tampons for the most part but I have a hard time with them staying put anymore. So always have a liner. Those girls sound crazy. I didn't want anything up there for quite a while after E was born and the pads pretty comfortable anyways.

  • I hate pads...I'm always paranoid I'll have leakage and I go to the bathroom umpteen times a day every time I feel, um, a passing? I feel like they make such a mess. Tampons whenever possible.
