We will be staying with our parents in Orlando in March but not doing a full blown disney trip- we're spending two days in Clearwater, one at Kennedy space Center, another fishing, etc. We want to do one full day at a park and wanted to do one night in Epcot for dinner and drinking around the world since I was sick last time and never made it.
Is the only way to do this is buy a two day park hopper pass? or does Epcot have a dinner entrance only kind of thing? or maybe a ticket you can purchase just to drink at each country? I know we could just buy a one day park hopper and do the park during the day and Epcot at night but I fear it is just going to be too much in one day. And I feel like it is a waste to pay for a full day just to get entrance into Epcot.
also, I remember last time we went someone here provided an awesome "tour" schedule for drinking. If you are still here, can you share please.
thanks!
Re: Disney experts, need some help
I used to work in WDW but it's been a while. From what I know and just looked up, there's no way to just buy a ticket to just the EPCOT World Showcase. It's not a separate part of the park - once you're into EPCOT, you're in everywhere. KWIM?
Your cheapest option is to do it in one day. Your most fun option is to do it in 2 days - do one day at the MK then the next at EPCOT. Send the kids home late afternoon with the gparents and stay at EPCOT for dinner/drinking.
Also, how old is T2? I think kids under 3 are free...
that is kind of what i thought, i was just hoping someone would tell me I'm wrong.
T2 is three. We wouldn't be on the meal plan though because we aren't staying at a disney resort so any dining is going to be out of pocket

Yes! They just opened LEGOLAND in October! We're going next August. DS is pumped and I got free admission because we are Lego VIP program members (signed up in store a while back). I know a few people who have gone and their sons loved it. If T1 &T2 love all things LEGO, I'd look into it.

This is my modified Drinking Around the World tour, with drink suggestions.
Canada: Yes, start in Canada. Sure, you have a walking gap back to Mexico, but this lets you end in England, which is clutch. Draft Moosehead Light.
Mexico: Margarita. Also, if you are looking to eat, we just went to the new restaurant there, La Hacienda Something. Not the sit down inside -- this is new on the water. It is great. Also, there is a tequila bar inside now!
Norway: Draft beer.
China: Dude, I am old. I skipped this year.
Germany: I went beer again, Radeberger Pils.
Italy: Dry white wine flight in the wine shop. Oof.
America: Nursed the last Italian white wine. DH had a Sam.
Japan: Draft Kirin.
Morocco: The beer is hard to find here, which I feel like is part of the charm. Underground and hidden -- very authentic. DH and I split one just for novelty.
France: Champagne in the wine shop.
England: Cider in the Pub.
I can not stress enough factoring one meal and multiple snacks into this activity.
