If you send out holiday cards, do you sign your pets name?

My cousin's wife signs not only her and her husband's name, but also their three cats and one dog's name. I find that very odd but maybe I'm the only one.

I don't always, but I did this year. I can see how it's a little weird, but people who know us know we're big cat people and our cats are part of our family.

For the most part we added out dogs name and last year we even had his picture on our card. But I feel kind of bad this year because we had a photographer with DS and the dog was left out all together...lol

Yeah I have a feeling I'm in the minority...poor Oscar. (that's our dog)

He does have a Christmas stocking though!

My friend has a zoo - dogs, cats, horses - tehy all go on the card.

Yep, Kira is always on the card, too. All my friends do, too. Sometimes I add a little paw print by her name so people know she's an animal but everyone I send cards to knows who Kira is.

Yes, but only to certain people in our family. To the ones who are animal people. Our cats have Christmas stockings too!

I don't sign mine, but next year I want to include them - a picture & their names. It may be dorky, but I seriously love our cats.

I've gotten a couple of cards that include pets' names. I just smile 'cause I know those folks are really animal lovers and their pets aren't just pets, they're like other kids.

We added our turtle onto our Christmas card one year. We only did that one though...generally it is just the human portion of our family.

Yes, we include our dog's name in the card as well as a pic. I always think it's sad when people include their pets names in their cards and then drop them as soon as they have kids.

Yep, it's always Ian, Erynne & Phoebe lastname...this year it was Ian, Erynne, Clara & Phoebe lastname. And Phoebe "wrote" our Christmas letter too.

She drives me insane but I love her!

This year we just said "the Last Name family," because with a second dog I thought 4 names would start to look cluttered and then H wanted to say "and baby" but I thought that was overkill etc. So we made it simple. But typically in the past we have used our names and the dog - people who even slightly know us know how we feel about our dogs, so it makes sense.

I used too when we only had Bowser and not Kira but now there are not enough characters on the cards that I use.

This year is the first year we didn't put the dogs and cats names/pics. I just thought it would look ridic, with Kev, Meg, John, Cooper, Riley, Charlie & Cosmo. Next year I want to get a pic with John and the animals for the card, I just didn't have time this year, our cards went out this morning as it is.

I would love to do this but it will be close to impossible with cats! One of our cats will sit with DS but the other wouldn't unless we held him there.

This year we got family pics done & then I took a picture of Penelope by herself and Perry by himself. I made sure to get a card that allowed 3 photos, so everyone would be on the card. I also signed all of our names. I did a photocard from Shutterfly.I figured getting a picture with all 5 of us or even with DD and dog #1 & dog 2 would be too difficult. Heck, I can't even get Dog1 & Dog2 in a photo together!

To the OP - I think it's cute.

I would love to be able to do an actual family photo that includes DH, myself, DD, and all three animals, but I cannot *imagine* trying to get three cats to look at the camera! I took pretty under-the-Christmas-tree photos of all three cats this year, so if nothing else, I'll use those on next year's card with our family photo(s).

Yup! Tucker, Tully, and Oreo are all included. We have a photo of Tucker on the front by himself and then two photos of the kitties on the back. They all have little stockings too. Big Smile

haha before we got Tucker, we did one photo with both cats and it was so difficult! Let me see if I can find one of the outtakes (we didn't end up using it for our card). ETA - here it is (before we got them stockings)...they were pissed.

as you can see from my siggy, we just sign "The Gilberts" but if I did sign our names I would say "Jon, Joan and Brady".

Brady's also a main part of our Christmas card. If I had multiple pets I would probably say "Jon, Joan and the gang" or something haha

Last year we did, but this year we have 2 more and I didn't think they would all fit, so I signed from me, DH and the cats. Their photo is on the card, though, along with a note they wrote to Santa.
