So since I started my Associates many years ago, I have not had an easy time to finish it. I dropped out a few years ago due to being homeless, jobless, and while couch hopping, woke to someone I thought was my best friend at the time having his way with me while staying at his house.
I restarted last fall, pushed through and struggled with my math classes. Towards the beginning of this semester, my STBXH moved out and I began to learn to be a single mom while struggling with my math course.
I just found out that by the skin of my teeth, I'm done. I'M GRADUATING!!!!!!!!!!
I could cry guys, I thought I hadn't passed my math course but the counselor just informed me that my grade was good enough to graduate. Now this will help job search, I'm sure. ![]()
Re: does this qualify for onward and upward? LOL
Well, that is so incredibly awesome!!!
GOOD JOB! And CONGRATS!
They see us rollin'...they be hatin'.
Onward and upward? YES! Woohoo congrats!
Thanks guys! I love that you guys share my excitement. Everyone in my family has responded in a way that makes it seem like it's a daily occurance (even though it isn't, esp in our family)
I knew if I told you guys I would have people share in my excitement!
THIS!
CONGRATS!!!!! That's definitely a reason to be happy. Onward and upward!
Not to hijack your post, but after 10 years of being in and out of college (with only my AA to show for it), I'll be graduating with my Bachelor's next month. I finished the last 1.5 years of it (full time) while XH moved out, I filed for divorced, went through divorce and all while adjusting to life as a single parent and working full time. I know exactly the pride you have in yourself right now. You're a rockstar!!!!
Thank you, I don't think you hijacked at all, I find it refreshing to hear from someone who understands EXACTLY how I am feeling
There have definitely been days (esp lately) where I almsot walked away again
