I'm feeling down today.
At the end of the summer, work passed off two temp employees for me to "manage" until their contract ended Dec. 1. They were closer to my age than anyone else here, so we all really bonded, would go to lunch every day, trade books to read, etc.
One of them, Sean, was the only person from work to come to FIL's funeral, even though he'd only worked with me for 3 months and everyone else here has been working with me for 5 years.
Today's my first day in the office since they're gone. I keep turning around to tell them something, and realize they're not there. It's bumming me out, a lot.
