For those that have a kid with an allergy, how did you know? S has been sick a lot. It seems as though every time he gets over a cold he starts a new one. While he was playing with the cat today I started to wonder if he might be allergic. He has a runny nose constantly, cough that comes and goes, sounds congested and he rubs his eyes but until now I figured it was out of tiredness.
Re: Kids with Allergies
I had K tested and it is a fairly easy test. They tested her for animals by having her lay on her stomach and then put some gel on her back. If it reacts or bubbles up it is positive for allergies.

H is the EXACT same way. She has always sounded like she's got rocks in her nose - constant congestion for as long as we can remember but no other issues. Now you have me thinking that she's allergic to our cat and/or dog. DH's mom is severly allergic to pets so who knows.. Dang now we need to test her! Good luck and hope your LO gets to feeling better!
