What's for dinner?
I put ground beef in the crock pot with some vodka sauce, parm cheese and onions to put over elbows. It's not as good as I imagined it would be, so I'm a little bummed...I'm also having a salad with cukes, cheddar cheese, almond slices and honey mustard dressing...pretty good, as it is the first salad i've made in months...
Re: WFD?
I'm going to have to start making some strategic food plans soon. We want to try to use up everything we have before we move, and then just stock up on everything once we move in. If we don't...I have a feeling we might have a few items that will last us for quite a bit longer than intended haha
We do that every time we move. I don't buy much canned stuff but it's emptying out the freezer that's a pain in the rear. It's amazing how creative you can get when you have to use the food!
We went to Joe's Crab Shack. It was my second time ever going and I'm still not really impressed.

Hmm I've never been but I keep hearing not so stellar things about their food.
It's the first night of Chanukkah so I did a lot of cooking today. I roasted a brisket and some veggies, fried up latkes and make apple latkes and ice cream for dessert. It all came out pretty well actually.
I went once and wasn't impressed. That was 5 years ago and I haven't been back since.
We had homemade eggplant parmesan with homemade spaghetti sauce & spinach...oh, and rum spiked egg nog while we were making it & chestnuts roasted over our fireplace (those things sound like a gun when they pop).
I've decided to start actually baking/cooking from the cookbooks that I have instead of letting them collect dust for the most part. The eggplant parmesan was something that I just came up with on my own, but I swear tonight we're having Moroccan shrimp and couscous from our newlyweds cookbook that I haven't opened since we got married almost 2 years ago (oops).
