Let's see your holiday decor!

Does anyone want to show off their Christmas tree and/or holiday decorations?  I figured we could all just post pictures in this thread.  Everyone works so hard to decorate all cute and pretty, so let's show it off Big Smile

Re: Let's see your holiday decor!

  • Here is our tree.  I went with a red, gold, and purple theme this year.  I have a few other decorative things in the house, but that's about as far as I went with decorating this year.  DH told me last night "next year, we need to be more festive".  Lol Embarrassed

  • Oh, I've got a ton of pics!  Yay!  Good idea, Xan!

We are hosting Christmas at our house for the first time ever, so I did a little more than I usually would.

I put a little tree in the downstairs bathroom (it doesn't have a window, so we keep a nightlight on in there all the time anyway, so right now, the little tree is out nightlight.)  :-)

And I took that pic before I got the star.  So this is the star that I put on it.

And, here are some snowmen and the Leg Lamp!

And the cards we've gotten (as of yesterday).

When my Grandma passed away, I inherited her tree.  It's about 30 years old now.  I've had it for about 15 years.  Anyway, she still had the original instructions on how to put it together.  I've been saying I wanted to frame them for YEARS and never have, until this year!

And more snowmen (and some vick's vaporub.  lmao)

And the main tree (the one that was my Grandma's).

And the dining room with the new table!

I had to make some tornado themed centerpeices for our holiday party at work (don't ask.  lmao) so these gingerbread houses were for those.

And the centerpeices turned out great!  (the houses are are spinning platforms, so when you spin them they look like they are in a tornado!  lol)

  • Here's our tree:

Our little Nativity scene. It was the one my family would put up every year that my mom gave to me last year. Now they are using my late grandmother's nativity at their house.

A close up of one of the ornaments on the tree, a lot of which are DH's from his childhood. His parents have a tradition where they give each of the kids an ornament every Christmas until they turn 25, which I think is really cool and something we plan on starting with our son next year.

And one of two matching wreaths we have up outside hanging from the lights on either side of our garage:

    image

We have some christmas lights on our bushes and two light-up penguins as well as ornaments hung on a bare tree out front, but it is raining and I don't have any good pictures of them.

The only other decorations we have are our Christmas Card tree which I made this year and some bows hanging up in our kitchen.

And here is a close up of some of our favorite ornaments

Here is a cute wreath my Mom got us for our front door as an 'apartment warming' present.  The little snowmen actually sing and dance :)image

And then I have little Santa's and snowmen scattered throughout the place like this...

  • We didn't put much up this year because most of our stuff is in storage at my parents house until we move into out future house. But here's a few of the things we put up.

Our mini-tree, filled with mostly ornaments we got last year for our first year married. The one at the top is from our honeymoon cruise.
    image

A gingerbread house I made that we have sitting on our tv stand now
    image

We have more random stuff but that's all I've really got pictures of.
