Restaurants in Long Beach
I am traveling to Long Beach in a month and need to organize a dinner for a group of 35 colleagues. We need a restaurant that is close to the convention center if possible (we are staying at the Westin and would like to be able to walk to dinner) and needs to be affordable (entrees no more than about $30), casual but not too casual, nice but not stuffy, etc. Last year we were in Houston and we ate here (sorry not clicky):

Any suggestions?
Thanks!
Re: Restaurants in Long Beach
I organized a company event there in 2010 and was out there for a few days a few times working with our local office.
King's Fish House is fun, classic seafood restaurant, price point probably just hovering around where you want to be. They have a great bar & oyster bar and the food is pretty outstanding.
We had our company/client dinner at 555 East, which is a Steakhouse. They were amazing. The service was friendly, impeccable and the steaks were phenomenal. It is a fancy restaurant but has a casual feel/attitude. They may be slightly above your price point but will work with you. 8-10 oz. Filets with sides, soup or salad and dessert would probably be in your range.
Parker's Lighthouse is seafood again, fancier than King's, but beautifully situated on the waterfront.
Rock Bottom Restaurant and Brewery is a lower price point, fun, casual restaurant with a very diverse menu and they brew their own beers. The food is good and it was our restaurant of choice for just grabbing dinner on our own. Good brews.
Good luck, it's a really cute and fun town.
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
Thanks so much! I had all of the restaurants you listed above on my list of places to call and see if they could hold 35 people--glad to hear that at least 555 East could fit you for your company dinner!
Thanks again!
