Operation: Be Less Fat (Final Details)

Per the poll, we will be doing O:BLF Thursdays. Anna will be posting it starting 1/5.

The questions:

1. What did your workouts consist of this week?

2. How many days did you work out this week? How many minutes?

3. What was your healthiest meal this week? Least healthy?

4. What was your proudest H&F moment this week? Least proud?

5. Did you meet your goals for this week? What are your goals for next week?

For the challenges, what do you guys think of doing monthly challenges with an every other Monday check-in? It's a decent compromise of the two options that got the most votes. We definitely need to do a check-in throughout the month to make sure everyone is on track. If you guys think we should check in weekly, we can do that too, just let me know. I would post the first challenge on 1/2.

Any changes to the questions? Any ideas for additional questions?

  • Love it! Especially since I can finally start working out again soon.
  • Thank goodness we aren't starting until 1/5!  With my schedule and my wrist, I don't know how much I'll be doing these next two weeks.
  • I'm confused by the challenge part, but its okay.  I will just reply whenever posts pop up.  :)

What is confusing? I ask because you are probably not the only one confused and althought it makes sense in my head that means absolutely nothing for outside of my head. :P

  • I don't understand what we would be doing bi-weekly/weekly.. whichever it ends up being.

Just checking in on progress. For example, we start challenge X on Monday 1/2 and then two weeks later on Monday 1/16, I post a check-in to see how everyone is doing on challenge X. Basically just something to keep people motivated on the challenge.

Oh!  You mean like the plank thing?

I was confused because I thought we were setting our own goals/challenges on a weekly basis and then reporting back.   I didn't realize we were doing two different things.

    Got it, thanks. :)

Uh, yeah - we have to give you as many chances as possible to show us what a BAMF you are! :P

    LMAO!

  • This is what I was thinking for questions:

    1. What did your workouts consist of this week? How often did you work out and for how long?

    2. What was your healthiest meal this week? Least healthy?

    3. What was your proudest H&F moment this week? Least proud?

    4. Did you meet your goals for this week? What are your goals for next week?

    5. Any new tips you learned this week? Any areas where you need advice?

  • Did we want to do something like wieght loss or inches lost??
  • I've been MIA this week, but I'm really excited for O:BLF, and I think we need t-shirts too :)

    I always love shirts!

I don't know about anyone else, but I know that I tend to lose weight fairly slowly, and I will just beat myself up if we're supposed to log that and everyone else is losing faster than I am. That's why I don't do WW and the like. I think you can include it in the goals or proudest moment question if you'd like, but I personally don't want to feel like I have to update that every week.

ETA: Plus, I think we'd all agree that it's not just about losing weight, it's about being healthy and doing right by yourself. I think it's better to have the focus on fitness rather than weight loss.

ETAx2: I love that my weird, random idea in my head has become a "thing" with its own acronym!

What if we include percentage of weight lost or number of inches lost in the monthly challenge posts? Those who want to share their number can do so but since it would be monthly rather than weekly, it isn't so in your face for those who tend to lose weight more slowly. Just a thought, let me know...

That sounds great! I usually feel better about my numbers over the course of a month anyway, lol
