Favorite Holiday Desserts
What's your favorite? Is there something that HAS to be there every year or your family will riot? Or is it something different every year?

Re: Favorite Holiday Desserts
Nothing really actually that I can think of. We usually have a tray of goodies out at my parents that gets noshed on but there's nothing that sticks out in my mind.
Thanksgiving has way more "must haves" than Christmas does in our house. We keep Christmas really casual.
My mom typically makes a big trifle, but last christmas and this christmas it was just my parents, my brother, DH and me (and my nephew) so the trifle doesn't get eaten so she didn't make it. I imagine next year when my other brother is back for christmas she'll make it again.
We do always have jello jigglers though haha and tons of cookies. This year I'm making a chocolate peppermint cake.
There isn't any one thing. We always have my aunt's cream cheese brownies at family get togethers, and she'll bring those to brunch at my Mom's on Christmas. And we always have cookies and homemade candies all over the place. But otherwise, there's no one thing that we look forward to.
My nieces and nephews do look forward to anything Aunt Dee Dee makes. I get swarmed the second I walk in the door. No pressure or anything.
