Do you have the same tree decor every year? Pretty much- I try to purge a few ornaments each year to make room for new ones.
Sentimental ornaments or no? Yes, especially since my Grampy passed last year- I now have many of his antique glass ornaments which I would love anyway but are extra special because they were his.

Real or fake? Definitely real! I love that it smells like Christmas, and I just like the look of real trees better. Growing up in the northeast, it was fun to go as a family and choose our tree from a tree farm and chop it down ourselves.
Do you have the same tree decor every year? For the most part.. I switched our blue and silver theme to red and gold a few years ago.
Sentimental ornaments or no? Yes, my mom and my grandma made a tradition out of giving us new ornaments every year, so I have a bunch of ornaments from growing up. DH loves the tradition, so now we do it for each other and his family as well.

Sentimental ornaments or no? Yes, many from our travels. I also have several of my grandma's old ornaments.

What tops your tree? A cardinal. My family has always had a cardinal on the top of the tree in honor of my grandpa who loved them.
We don't have kids and are always gone for Christmas, but we still put one up. I love Christmas trees and I love having it up, even if DH and I are the only ones who see it some years. I used to put one up when I was single and lived by myself too.
When do you put yours up? - varies each year but we did it the Sunday after Thanksgiving this year. Usually it's first weekend in December though.
Real or fake? - real. We always had a cheapy fake one growing up and I hated it! I swore when I grew up I'd always have a real tree.

When do you put yours up? Thanksgiving Day, after dinner...DH and the girls unpack the tree while I clean up.

Sentimental ornaments or no? Absolutely...almost all of them were either gifts we've received, ornaments I've given my kids (they get a new one each year), or things they've made.
White or colored lights? Until this year, colored. But we have a new pre-lit tree this year and it has white lights.

Last year it was before Thanksgiving since we just bought a new LED pre-lit tree. This year it was after Thanksgiving (outr belated Honeymoon trip).
