Huh. WWND? (Re: Receipt for FSA)

I saw an amazing massage therapist who specializes in prenatal right around Thanksgiving.  At the time, her printer was broken, so she couldn't get me an invoice for my FSA.  I said that was fine, she was going to send it to me that week.  Fast forward, and it's been 4 weeks.  I actually have to turn the receipt in by the end of this week.  I've called several times.  I've emailed.  She returned one email and told me she was sorry, things had been busy, but I could pick it up last night.  I went to her office and the door was locked.  She didn't answer, or pick up her phone.  I left her another message and emailed last night.  At this point, I'm fairly irritated, because one of her big selling points is that she does all the stuff for medical massage and FSA reimbursement.

WWYD at this point?  I can't even get her to contact me?  Grr.

  • Try and make it as easy as possible for her, but also make sure she understands your deadline. Can she fax it to you? Can she email it? Definitely leave both an email and phone message stating that you tried to pick it up, need it by the end of the week, etc. and she can email it at this address, fax it to this number, or drop it in the mail, etc.

    Good luck!

  • Are you sure you need it this week? Usually the date of service just has to be by the end of the year and you have a couple of months to submit.
  • I am sure - technically I could submit by the end of the year, but I won't be around to do it next week.  (I think we are switching FSA administrators.)

  • Is she independent or can you stop by her office and ask the front desk, etc to get you what you need?
