DH and I moved to Grand Junction about a year and a half ago and the PCP situation here in town in pretty bad. Most offices are not taking new patients and the ones that are, are very selective. A new office just opened a few blocks from our house and while DH has already been for his physical I have already had mine through my Gyn. Should I make an appointment and go so that I am a patient there even though I don't need to be seen for anything? I feel like if I don't I will never be able to find a PCP here because of the severe shortage but on the other end, I really don't have any medical reason to go.

Re: PCP question
I'm no help...I was sure this post was going to be about tripping on PCP or something.
I do know how much it sucks to have a doctor as your primary who isn't good, so I might consider trying to get into the docs if you think they are a good fit for you.
