Fly Delta or United Airlines?
We have a choice to fly to London from DFW via United or Delta, connecting in either Atlanta or Houston. Which airline would you recommend? My husband is a tall guy and gets super uncomfortable during long flights so if either has more comfortable seats, please let us know! Thanks
Re: Fly Delta or United Airlines?
Normally I'd rec United and pay for the economy plus legroom if your DH is very tall (my DH is also very tall and loves this. makes a world of difference). However, if you're connecting through Houston it's probably a United flight but a Continental plane. Con. planes are supposed to get re-fit with economy plus sections but I have no idea what the deadline is for that.
That's the long way of saying:
1. Find out if there's an economy plus section - think about upgrading.
2. If not, got with whatever flight is cheaper/better departure & arrival times.
Hey, Missus!
I usually fly Delta and have never flown United so I can't compare.
That said, I hate customs in Atlanta and I'd personally be nervous with less than an hour.
The hour is between landing in Atlanta and taking off for London, they won't be going through customs. An hour is doable, but I would be worried it would be late - is it the 10:35 pm flight? If so it is the only one that day so if you miss it you have to wait til the next night to fly out. I don't know about United. We fly Delta to London often and it is fine, and they do have an economy plus section. If you are worried about legroom check out seatguru and see the difference between United and Delta.
Yes, this flight arrives in Atlanta at 9:30pm and leaves for London at 10:45
The TA went ahead and booked us on the Delta flight, so let's hope it works out.
I went to Delta's website and I see they have a "choose your seat" tab but it says that our flight's seat map is currently unavailable. Does anyone know when it will become available?
my bookshelf!
Bloggy
I'd choose United, to be honest.
Delta.... Doesn't Ever Leave The Airport
