Ummm, I have a tendency to get a little over the top in my complete and utter love for Christmas to the point I rival Buddy the Elf.
And pretty much, I've created a mini me in DD, because she's over the top herself. Oops.

the lights, the music, the snow, the wrapping of gifts, the giving of gifts, receiving & sending cards, the family get togethers, the baking & EATING, Christmas Eve Mass. I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!!!
Seeing L do the classic Home Alone shocked look when Santa walked into his preschool classroom was PRICELESS!
I go back and forth. Part of me loves the decorations, music, and feel of the season but then real-life sometimes throws a wrench in my holiday cheer (drama at work, long days, and the stress of never being on top of everything enough to get it all done and just enjoy the week.) I also have mixed emotions because we aren't going anywhere and have no family visiting, so it is just DH and I. Part of me is glad to not be traveling or hosting a big ordeal but I also get homesick and miss my family. Christmas is hard this year because both my parents are going through a really rough time financially, and my mom's health is not good.
I hope to be more on the ball next year and get all my presents done and wrapped so I can ship them a week early and then just enjoy.
