Barenaked Ladies ft Michael Buble - Elf's Lament
I love that whole Barenake Ladies Christmas/Chanukkah album.
I'm also a big fan (from my childhood) of the Save the Children Christmas album with all the old school threatre companies and big pop orchestras. Colm Wilkinson doing Winter Boy is just fantastic.
Annnd, this season I'm enjoying the new Michael Buble christmas album. In my current state the song with the children's choir (Silent Night) makes me cry.
We'll just not tell H about this little fact, m'kay?
My favorite is The Little Drummer Boy--I have the Harry Simeone Chorale version. I also have a fondness for Dominick the Italian Christmas Donkey by Lou Monte.
My favorite Mexican Christmas song is the Spanish version of Adeste Fideles (performed by Mijares). I love the synthesizer in the background of all the 80s Mexican Christmas carols that I have.
Right now I'm listening to Brian Vander Ark's Christmas album with his wife, Lux Land. Really enjoying it.
I love Carol of the Bells - I have an arrangement on the piano that has all this totally sick syncopation that I LOVE playing.
I'm also a big fan of Do You Hear What I Hear? and Santa Baby? Oh! And the Holly Cole version of What is this Fragrance? It's an amazing version - haunting with a fantastic crescendo.

My favorite traditional song is "The Christmas Song." You know the 'chestnuts roasting on an open fire' one.
You're going to laugh at me, but one of my other favorite holiday songs is "Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays" by N'Sync haha It's so catchy and puts me in a good mood!
