Craft Fail....and help :)

I painted the inside of a clear plastic ornament and used acrylic paint. It's been drying since last night. When I checked on it tonight there are spots where the paint has completely run out...like see through spots. What did I do wrong? Is it because it's plastic and not glass? If I do the same with glass will it all run out too?

Re: Craft Fail....and help :)

  • I did these for my wedding favors and I found that the brand of acrylic paint that works best was the delta brand. Folk art and other brands were streaky and didn't dry well.  I only used glass though so I'm not sure if it's the plastic or the paint.

  • Why not just do a second coat inside it?

  • I just didn't want to waste the time if it was due to the plastic. I also have glass ones I want to try. Of course I bought the cheapo Ffolk art so we shall see what a second coat does!
