So dead - Let's talk about 2012
Any goals for 2012? Things you hope to work towards or accomplish? Fun plans?

Re: So dead - Let's talk about 2012
I think biggest game changer is that we hope to TTC in 2012.
I also want to journal more. Either on paper or online, I haven't decided. Even if it's something small, I want to write every day.
I think my biggest goal will be the number of books to read. I'm thinking 75, but haven't decided. I also am going to not buy any new books (I will give myself a bye for library sales!) until I read at least one of my to be read shelves (I have two).

Between having a baby and A's new promotion ... 2012 is already shaping up to be a great year!
I want to get my focus back on fitness and weight loss once H is born. Between what I gained from wacky hormone levels, fertility drugs and now pregnancy, I have a lot of work to do! I'm not setting any particular goals, but I know what the big picture is and what I need to do to get there.

I want to use the photo frame we got for JT's grandmother more often, especially now that we have a new camera.
I also really want to look for a new job and get serious about it, because this is really just a job and I want a fulfilling career, it's just time to move on.
We also have a vacation sort of planned to rent a house where I grew up for a week in the summer. It will be so nice to be able to visit and have friends over and feel like an adult and not at my parents house. I love my parents but my room is not set up for the two of us to stay there. I'm most happy that JT is excited about the plans.
Books read in 2011: 111
Books read in 2012: 100

One of my goals is fitness also. When I got laid off in March I dropped alot of pounds since I wasn't sitting behind a desk all day. Now I'm sitting behind a desk again, and I'm afraid that I'll easily put it back on. I have already cut my portion size, which is helping me stay at the size I am, but I need to tone up.
Another goal is that we want to add an addition on to our house, to make a master bedroom and master bathroom upstairs, and then we'll have a 3 bedroom, 2 1/2 bath house.
And as long as things continue to improve, I'm hoping that by fall of 2012 we'll be ready to TTC for #2.
I'm hoping to just adjust to being a mom, hopefully lose weight and work on fitness.
I don't have any other real goals. Is that sad? I am looking forward to watching A grow, spending time with family, having a clean house most of the time and home-cooked meals most nights :-)
Lose weight (I think this has been on my list since I was a teenager).
We'd like to take a couple of vacations (Quebec & NYC at least, although they'll probably both be just long weekends).
We're also thinking of buying a camper and doing some camping this summer.
Planning bio My DIY blog The Maine Bio
2012 Reading Challenge
Definitely work on my fitness goals and continue to make an effort to lose some weight before IVF.
I think our biggest goal is to continue to save up for IVF and replenish our savings account for house related items.
Overall, just enjoy being a homeowner and finally have a housewarming party for all our friends and family some time in the spring/summer once our backyard is complete.
Also, I am going to make January a no eating out month, except for Brian's birthday. Brian and I did it last year and it worked.
whoo hoo!!
Oh yah, if it happens I am always up for a GTG in 2012!!!
I would like to lose a *** ton of weight...I hate how I look so that is my #1 priority (aside from Josh)
I just found out a very good friend is pregnant so my plan is to head to FL for her shower when it rolls around as a ME vacation
Rick and I have tickets and room reservatinos for Foxwoods on March 22nd to go see Bob Marley (the comedian) it will be my first time at Foxwoods and seeing Bob, I'm SO excited.
I'd like to say we will TTC #2 but i'm highly doubting that will happen...We will see though.
I'm also looking forward to Amanda getting engaged
I haven't thought much about it! I may look for a new job... but I don't know about that yet. I would like to get shape and lose weight. Spend as much time with the best baby in the world....
My goals for 2012 are as follows:
Read 50 books again.
Run at least 3 5Ks ... and maybe a marathon relay if you still need someone Jo.
GTG with some of you at some point I hope.
FINALLY redo our bathroom.
SAVE $$
Our biggest goal this year is to see a RE about TTC.
A goal my son and I have together is to read 50 books each.
At our house,we are going to build a new room in the basment for the boys for their man-cave...lol!
I have a goal of reading 12 books. Yes, one a month. Two would be nice, but lets not go nuts. I used to read so much, but lately (as in the last several years), not so much. I read all three Hunger Games in 2011, and one other book I can't recall...
I need to complete/defend my proposal this year and set a timeline for my dissertation.
My big fitness goal is returning to a sub 2 hr half (March hopefully) and I'm running NYC in November. This will likely be my last full, at least for a long time, so I am hoping to PR. It would be icing to get a true half PR (sub 1:52) as a part of my full training, but I need to cross the 2 hr hump to think about that. And losing the 10-15 lbs I've put on/kept since the last full i did would probably help...
In house goals, we plan to be totally done with the kitchen before 2012. For 2012 we need to reno the garage (I can't even get into these issues), get curtains for the LR/DR, paint the front and back porches and upstairs bedrooms, and clean up the basement walls. I also want to establish savings plans for the basement french drain/water sealer and new siding/windows.
oh and hang out with the babies
Well our 2012 will be pretty baby centric. We will need to register, do a nursery, then finally bring baby home. I hope to go on daily walks (if it isn't too hot or raining) while I'm on maternity leave this summer. I really want to take advantage of the nice weather. I also want to join the new mom's group the hospital I'll be delivering at organizes.
Our exercise bike was delivered yesterday but since we have Christmas stuff downstairs we won't set it up until the new year. I want to start exercising again and for as long as possible while pregnant. Postpartum I'd like to start jogging outside again.
Yes and yes! Even if we don't do the relay, we should get together for a race. I know Matt would one up near you if we knew about it early enough. Last year he did the Warrior Dash up by Joliet (I think?) and it sounded like fun.

I love that you are doing that together!

Thanks! I think it will be a fun, we both love to read and I wanted him to set a goal for us to complete together....since he is now a *gulp* teenager!
Hmmm, is it bad that only thing I want to think about for next year is planning our trip to Europe? It isn't until Sept, so we've got a lot of waiting to do. We are planning on hitting up London, Amsterdam, and either SW Germany or Paris over 2 weeks.
Other than that....Brian is really wanting to start thinking about moving closer to our families an hour away, and maybe taking over his dad's insurance biz. Which means me finding a job and us selling our house and finding a new one. I don't look forward to either of those tasks. I hate change.
Blog
I want to finish my PSE course with Kim Klassen. I'm so behind with it I ended up buying permanent access, but it is a lot of information, so I don't think that's a bad thing as it'll be nice to be able to reference back to it.
I want to start the one-to-one training we got for me for our MAC. I've been writing down questions now since we bought it and I really need the training to help with file management with all my photos. I hate the current way it files them in iPhoto.
I want to finish my website for my photography and get it published and order some business cards.
And of course our biggest accomplishment/fun will be the birth of our 2nd child in June. I can't wait to hear Alexi tell me if it's a boy or a girl!
Fun plans include a trip down to NC to surprise my Dad for his 60th birthday.
