QOTD Thursday

Last holiday-related question before this weekend:

What's your favorite holiday movie?

Re: QOTD Thursday

  • I feel like I haven't seen a lot of the classics (like A Christmas Story, I've never seen that one, leg lamps mean nothing to me) so I'm going to have to go with the claymation Rudolph narrated by Burl Ives.

  • I love christmas movies so its hard for me to choose. I love frosty and rudolph the ones I have been watching since I was a litlte girl. My favorite new one is Elf. I love that movie and it makes me laugh everytime.

  • Weird answer, but The Lion in Winter. It takes place during Christmas 1183 (think medieval, dysfunctional royal family Christmas), and has a lot of good Christmas-related lines. That counts, right? ;)

As for real Christmas movies, Rudolph. I missed it this year, though.

  • The Muppet Christmas Carol!
  • Do I have to pick just one? The Rudolph and Frosty claymation movies have been longtime favorites. White Christmas is a new favorite because Kyle and I watch it together every year. And it's also not Christmas for me without How the Grinch Stole Christmas - the animated version.

  • Oh why just one. I love the clay mation Rudolph. I have a t-shirt with the dentist elf on it.

Old school though. It's a wonderful life. I just watched it last week. I've always loved Jimmy Stewart. I have also realized as I get older the movie has so much more meaning to it.

Lastly New one. Elf. The best way to spread Christmas Cheer is singing loud for all to hear!

  • I always answer this questions with Die Hard. Stick out tongue

I like the original Miracle on 34th Street, Scrooged and How the Grinch Stole Christmas.

I despise It's A Wonderful Life, but because I love Jim I am going to watch it without complaint this weekend as one of the 'gifts' on his Christmas countdown.

  • The one I enjoy the most is Love Actually, but the one that puts me most in the holiday spirit is A Christmas Story. H and I quote it all year round, so it is a must-watch every Christmas Eve.

    Yes

  • Not sure I have a favorite, I just love Christmas movies in general. I am also a big fan of Love Actually, The Polar Express is fantastic, my tops might be The Grinch. I am a sucker for the classics as well, I have them all on Blu-Ray. Oh, Home Alone!

  • A Christmas Story. I actually never watched those claymation movies when I was little so I don't get them now.

Raynes I'm ordering you to watch A Christmas Story.

  • Christmas in Coonecticut!  It's an old film set during WWII, and it's a comedy.  I watch it every year just as the holiday madness begins and when I'm stressed shopping, a scene pops into my head.
