kitchen sneak peak (my little kitchen retro renovation)
we are keeping as much to the classic midcentury modern look of our kitchen.
we still need to grout, but the tiles are up, we are doing gray grout to pop the hexagon tiles more. but i am loving it so far.
new cabinet hardware and hinges are on there way. i did polished chrome to match the stove. and we have the floor tiles (god knows when we will get a spare second to lay it, but i am hoping NYE weekend), we did commercial vinyl tile because it is classic to the time and is now made super eco friendly! this whole kitchen upgrade including appliances and labor is coming in under $3000.

Re: kitchen sneak peak (my little kitchen retro renovation)
NEW! the last ones were way done.
these are ikea laminate which costed us in total $150.
thanks guys! the backsplash is my favorite besides the dishwasher in the island.
it took us three boxes of tile for the backsplash total $75 + the cost of grout.
Looks great!
I LOVE your stove!
i took me a couple of websites, but i had to find hardware meant for 1950s cabinets. sizing was different then, and i was getting nervous we were going to have to do more work then i wanted to the cabinet fronts.

lol i wanted to possibly keep the scallop trim it is so 1950s, but p like the day we moved in was like I HATE THIS IT NEEDS TO GO NOW.
I have some above my sink, we could have been kitchen mates.
I like.
Are there cabinets above the cabinets or is there a duct running through there?
Yeah that's right my name's Yauch!
Both? You can store stuff but it is where the oven duct is.
