ok, is this weird (moms and moms to be chime in)

A friend I know posted her breast milk stash on fFB to show how she is happy to have stash before she goes back to work.

Weird or not?

BTW-I am not discounting having stash or BM as I am all for that but I just think it is weird to be showing your stash on FB. That is just me though.

  • It wouldn't be weird to post on TB somewhere but I personally wouldn't be "Facebook proud" about that.
  • Like, a picture of her BM stash? Yes, that's weird.

I think too many women/mom's lose their filter when it comes to FB. They post way too much TMI when it comes to things pregnancy/baby related.

  • I agree w/ magda. I don't think any of C's FB friends are even remotely interested in the BM in our freezer. Heaven knows mine aren't.

This.  People post TMI period on FB.

Kasi's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)

  • It wouldn't bother me at all whether it was on TB or FB.

  • I have a friend who for a while posted nearly daily boob updates because she was an EP'er. So annoying. I think I rarely said anything about my breastmilk anywhere other than the GPM or BF boards and even then it was more to either ask questions or answer them.

  • I personally wouldn't do it. I wouldn't be weirded out by it as I can relate to the excitement of building the stash :) BUT I do think the majority of others would be weirded out (unless it was posted for wanting to donate it and then I think it becomes more informational and less weird.)

one of my college friends posted that she donated 500oz when her DD turned 1 and was transitioned to WCM. That IS cool, and I think she totally deserved the kudos she got for it (she SAH, and I guess pumped to deal with an oversupply and made it worse, hah).

That IS awesome.  Very cool that she could donate it!  I have heard that it is quite the process to donate it, so kuddos to those who are able to!

Ha, and yeah pumping does NOT help with oversupply!  Whoops!

Oh and PS ... where the H does one keep 500 oz?!?!  I have a stash of 50 oz and barely have room for any more than that!

We bought a chest freezer. We were going to anyway b/c we had to get a small fridge (18.9 cu ft or something like that) due to the size of our hallway/back door. We haven't been able to freeze any since C went back to work (plus they're eating more now), but we probably have close to that much frozen (I've never counted, but my rough calculations right now put it around 450. I can't remember how many bags fit into a gallon zip lock). It takes up about 1/4 of the 7.5 cu ft freezer. We're using 2-3 bags/week right now, so if we didn't get it we would literally have no freezer space!
