DH & I are thinking about moving into a bigger house. Currently we live ESE of OKC, but ideally, we'd like to live more north...east Edmond-ish area or thereabouts. (Anywhere that has trees, really.)
Our minimum requirements: 3+ BR, 1.5+ baths, 1500+ sf, relatively close to shopping (10-15 minutes to a grocery store/Walmart/Target), not too close to neighbors (right now, side-neighbor houses are 20 feet from our house), hopefully with at least .25 acres. Something fairly quiet and family-friendly would also be good.
I don't think we're ready to contact a real estate agent just yet, but can anyone recommend some really good websites where we can look at houses for sale? We want to get an idea of what we can afford and/or what we like first. TIA!

We use zillow and trulia.
One feature that I've found very helpful is that you can set up a search for exactly the neighborhoods you're interested in, along with all other specs (bedrooms, bathrooms, sf, etc.), and then request an email alert. That way, if you don't find anything you're super interested in right now, the site will notify you when anything meeting your requirements comes on the market.
@5th - pm'd you back.
Thank you Kaleeb & McGillicuddy! I will check those out! I've been watching zillow but hadn't tried trulia or the other websites mentioned.
Does anyone know if I contact banks in the Edmond area if they offer lists of short-sale/foreclosed homes that they have available? We don't mind a (slight) fixer-upper, but we have a limited budget on what we can spend on a house since we don't have a very large DP and most of the money we could put as a DP is tied up in our current house.
House selling/buying makes me nervous!
