Re: Christmas Cat humor

  • This is not limited to cats, haha.  Ellie has already mutilated 3 ornaments.  She's lucky she's so cute!

She also seemed genuinely confused as to WHY I would take out a huge roll of shiny gold wrapping paper last night if I was not intending to let her play with it.

  • Our cat was in big trouble for tree shenanigans last night.

  • We just got a new kitty and he hasn't gone for the tree yet. Just the dogs going after the presents, jerks!

  • we didn't put up a tree this year (no freaking time!) but I made the mistake of choosing to decorate my packages with yarn. the cats will NOT let me wrap gifts without giving them each a piece to play with.

  • My cats enjoy sleeping under the tree. As for gifts, my family understands that any gifts that they receive will most likely have bite marks in the ribbon.
  • I hear you guys.  Wrapping presents is impossible in my house.  Our older and more mischievous cat doesn't understand that he is not the present getting wrapped and therefore being between the wrapping paper and the actual present makes it impossible to finishing wrapping the actual present.

Mine does, too.  Can't really blame him; the tree skirt is a soft velvety thing.  I'd nap on it if I could get under there.

  • Haha.  I can picture Cheddar with a martini.  He and Muenster run through the presents, climb the tree, and wreak havoc on the ornaments.  But I love my boys, so it's ok.
