Re: UO Thursday
Nobody has any UOs today?!? Mine's more of a vent than a UO, but...
I don't understand how some women take hours to get ready to go out. My sister and I are both home for Christmas, and we're supposed to make arrangements to visit our grandpa. I can't call and tell him when to expect us because I have no idea how long it will take my sister to get ready this morning- shower, put on makeup, dry and style her hair. She estimated about an hour and a half, but that was an hour and a half ago already, and she hasn't even started yet.
I am your sister. I can get ready in 30-45 if I'm not trying too hard, but I always get distracted and it takes longer. If I'm going out at night and trying to look like a badass rockstar, I need at least two hours. My phone, the TV, books, my dog, zoning out, etc. all distract me. And I'm always late.
My husband got me these lessons to help me do my hair better. I would like to point out - he wasn't being mean - I have always complained that I don't look "put together." It now takes me nearly two hours to get ready in the morning and it completely sucks. Sure, my hair looks nice but Jesus Christ. That is freaking ridiculous.
I have now reverted back to my old pony tail wearing days.
I get upset when people obviously wait until the last minute to shop and use others as their anger posts. Today we went to get DH a new Iphone case (emphasizing this was the only thing we needed) and once we were done a nice sales associate took us to register to check us out. Cantankerous older "gentleman" beside us looks at his sales associate (nice lady) and begins railing in on how he has been waiting for "hours" and we were serviced in mere minutes.
Cantankerous older man had a technical problem with phone that clearly takes longer than buying a phone case. It made me so upset that I was close to being rude and informing him that buying a new phone would be much cheaper than repairing an older one.
I understand it is the holidays and people are scrambling to get last minute items, but if you are out please don't punish us for your unhappiness.
This goes double for people who get in trouble at work and insist it's their mean boss's fault.
You can! Type [ Y ] without the spaces.
Though, I'm a fan of scarves lately, but I've never been accused of over-accessorizing. It's probably the only accessory I have on if I'm wearing a scarf.
Oh my god, yes.
