Anyone been out or in the stores recently?

I am really behind and need to go to target and a few other places. Just wondering how the streets are and if the stores are crazy?

  • I wondered the same thing.

DS2 really wants a Lego Hogwarts set, and the smaller (read: non $150) sets are out at TRU and the WalMart on 92nd.

I just did an online order to pick up at WalMart on 72nd, and hope it's not crazy.

  • The streets aren't bad but the intersections and getting into and out of parking lots is interesting.  Our local grocery store was empty.
  • I need to go to Target but the thought of taking the baby out alone in the snow 3 days before Christmas is daunting. I think I will wait for DH to get home!
  • DH just got back, he said it was dead and not too many people were on the roads.

  • Well the streets weren't bad 2 hours ago. Hardly anyone was out. I am now at my 3rd target and it is packed. I stoped by kohls but they only had 2 cashiers and about 15 people in each line so we left.

  • The streets were horrific when I went out about 11:00 this morning.  I-25 SB from Belleview hadn't even been plowed.  Pathetic since the side streets in my 'hood, maintained by Greenwood Village were clear.   Our tiny mucipality can get their sh!t together but the state still hasn't figures out that we get snow here and take care of the major interstates?!  It took us 30 minutes to drive from Belleview to Dry Creek.
  • We went to CC Mall today and survived.  It actually wasn't that crazy, lines didn't appear to be long, and even the kids play area wasn't overwhelming.  Parking was OK too - DH got one right near Johnny Rockets.
