Confession: I am psycho about things matching
While I usually use many different kinds of wrapping paper for my Christmas wrapping, I decided this year to simplify by using just 1 roll of paper for all gifts that we will be exchanging on Christmas Eve and Day. So I got a huge roll and started wrapping. And I ran out...with 1 gift to go. My crazy self cannot get over just 1 gift being wrapped in different paper so I am going to have to figure something out. DH laughed in disbelief when he realized that I'm not going to let this go. Yes, I am crazy. And now I've admitted it to everyone.
Please tell me something you are neurotic about so I don't feel bad!!

Re: Confession: I am psycho about things matching
I do have a coordinating solid color that I could use - I thought of that last night. And I don't remember where I got the paper (because I bought it last year) but I am going to check Walmart tomorrow.

My Goodness...another food blog. Featuring: Macarons from a old post with a photo taken by my mom for a break from my crappy food photos!

It's so funny you mention this because I was thinking about this the other night when I was wrapping. I am usually so psycho about wrapping, matching and all that. It has to look pretty under the tree!! However, in Target I stumbled upon PINK Christmas wrapping paper, stifled a shriek in the middle of the store and threw out all previous feelings of having to make all things match. Having a girl has totally changed me. While I'm a self-admitted girly-girl, when I came to Christmas, I was totally red, white, and green only. I hated colors and anything non-Christmas. Well this year, I made salt-dough ornaments with B's handprints for us and family and painted them violet with glitter. It will grace our tree despite it's non Christmas color and I can't wait.
That being said, I wouldn't call you a psycho....or at least you'll have company in the loony bin with me someday! I'm with Wawa and I'd definitely unwrap and re-wrap some other gifts!
Someone's getting a little brother!

Ditto!! I love her expression!!
I wish DS would sit up so I could sit him in front of the tree, but he won't!

I am not usually matchy-matchy either when it comes to wrapping gifts. I usually wrap gifts in multiple different kinds of paper/ribbon. I just thought it would simplify things to only get out 1 roll, rather than hauling out the huge box I have. But having just ONE gift left out...I'm glad I'm not the only one bothered by this

Could you put it in a gift bag? It won't match, but at least it would be totally different, KWIM?
That would totally drive me nuts.
Last night I was dipping Oreo Truffles in red candy melt and was running so low that it was 100x more difficult to coat the stupid things, but I only had three truffles to go and no more red melts. I was bound and determined to not have three truffles "not match", and I really didn't want to dirty another bowl with melted candy coating.
