gifts for ILs
so, on Xmas eve we're going to DH's fathers for a little while.
the problem is, we are not close with them, they're still sorta like strangers... (idk who recalls, but DH and his father were estranged for almost 30 years).... so, what does one get FIL and SMIL when you dont' really know them? Last year we got them a holiday xmas frame with the kids photos in it.

edible gifts - costco has baskets, local places sell trays/baskets of nuts and dried fruit
a crystal candy bowl from homegoods filled with hersheys hugs and kisses
flowers in a vase
xmas centerpiece
fancy napkin ring holder thingies
ooh Melanie-- I like the liquor and chocolate idea.
I think they're too "fancy" to go to the movies.
A restaurant is also a great idea but Idk even where t get one for.
I really dont' know them well enough.
I DO KNOW they like some cocktails occasionally.
