I am here until 3--but only because I am leaving for a doctor's appointment. Then I have to come back to Uptown to go to Whole Foods for the rest of my Christmas meal and then I'm not back until January 3, woo hoo!!!
There was no one on the road today. Lots of people are off I guess.

When are you exchanging presents? We've been getting a present a night since Hanukkah started on Tuesday. Those who got more than 8 gifts will be getting the rest at brunch on Sunday.
Are you volunteering this holiday season? No.
What's the best present you bought that you know the reciever will love? Hmmm, probably my mom's spa day. One of Ben's presents was scotch and he loved that.
When are you exchanging presents? Christmas eve (dad), Christmas morning (Ben and Melodie), Christmas night (mom and sister). Ben has gotten a present every day of Hanukkah and he'll have 2 or 3 left to open Christmas morning.

What's the best present you bought that you know the reciever will love?
This may sound weird, but my dad stock piles gift cards and saves them for a later time. (I don't know how he does it because I'm usually out the next day shopping with mine). He still had the Best Buy gift card that DH and I put in his new wallet as a wedding gift. My mom and I took it and purchased the new GPS system that he was going to get after the holidays.
We're exchanging gifts on Christmas day. I think I still need to go out and get a few stocking stuffers for everyone. Way to wait to the last minute.

What's the best present you bought that you know the reciever will love?
I bought him a new-to-him desktop that he's completely not expecting! and, I didn't wrap it, i just put it on a stool, with a wine rack on top, under a blanket, for disguise. He keeps guessing all these funny things!
When are you exchanging presents?
We are exchanging Christmas morning, because we have my parents eve-night, and his parents Christmas night.
Are you volunteering this holiday season?
We volunteered all of Thanksgiving day, but since we are seeing everyone within 24 hours, we won't have time to for this holiday.

1. What's the best present you bought that you know the reciever will love?
I'm actually really excited to see SD's face when she gets her Santa presents. My mom bought her a Bitty Baby so that she can take care of her baby while I take care of Caroline and we bought her a bed/changing table/kitchen kinda thing and a bunch of other accessories to go with it. She has been saying she wants a doll house but she is getting more of a doll to play house with.
2. When are you exchanging presents?
We are doing our present exchange tomorrow morning at my mom's. We have always done it at my mom's and this year we had to arrange it so we are doing breakfast and gifts on Christmas Eve morning.
3. Are you volunteering this holiday season?
No. I normally volunteer at a big lunch/toy thing we do at my parents church but I since I've been having so much hip pain I didn't want to stand for 4 hours.

What's the best present you bought that you know the reciever will love?
I bought Matt his new PC he has been wanting for a couple of years, and I know he loves it since he picked it out, however he knew about it.
As far as surprises, we got his mom a swarovski crystal cross necklace that I am pretty sure she will cry over for hours (shes a big cryer).
When are you exchanging presents?
We are exchanging tonight with my mom and Sunday after church with his fam.
Are you volunteering this holiday season?
No
I really need to get into something for this coming year though.
Also, I have to AW out our team at work. A patient called in the other day and in the conversation of the call said that her bday is on Christmas day and she has not received an actual birthday present in 11 years (only Christmas). Our teammate asked her what she wanted and she said a nice robe for when she goes into the hospital
. Our team put together a little note explaining the situation along with an envelope for donations and collected enought to get her a nice pj and robe set. They shipped it out overnight last night for delivery today. I know I talk about my job a lot, but seriously its the people and the patients that make it amazing.
Are y'all hiring? JK but it sounds like an amazing place to work and IMO that is very important. I hate my job. I don't like the people I work with, I don't like the management and I don't like the way the big big bosses are running things. I make decent money and the benefits are amazing. I would love this place if the people were great. I'm glad to see there are still places out there that care about their customers and want to make a positive impact!

Has anyone been to Pharr's Christmas house in Carrollton, this year?
If you haven't, google it, and GO! It's totally worth it. Put your radio on the station 95.9 I think, bc all the lights are choreographed to music.
I'm just now getting on. Today was supposed to be a day just for the two of us but Bill told a friend he would help him with some code. Well, two hours turned into five. I was so upset, I just sat in our bedroom crying. We even missed the appt. for our couple's massage. I wrapped most of the presents but I couldn't really be in the kitchen or do laundry in the other room because then they would both stop working and start talking to me. He might still be here if I hadn't gone to our room.
Also, Bill still hasn't told his parents that we're not staying with them. We'll be there in less than 48 hours. He also hasn't told them that we got another cat. His mom told him last week that she doesn't think we should get a new one even though it's none of their business. Whelp, MIL, too bad, so sad. Rascal is here to stay. Eat it.
Ah! That sucks! But now, at least you are on your holiday break.. enjoy it!
