If you take time off around Christmas...
Thinking ahead here. I've spent most of this holiday mentally planning next year, which is going to be awesome
I'm just wondering if it's better to have some time off before Christmas or to take the week between Christmas and New Years

No more baby siggie pics. Boo.
I really liked having time off to prep for our vacation and the holiday this week. There was so much less stress knowing I didn't have to worry about doing everything and working 12 hour shifts too.
We are always closed the week between Christmas & New Year's because my boss goes home to visit family. I usually come in a few times during that week to do one last round of billing before the year end. I also go back through the year at that time and do stats and P/L audits to make sure everything is ready to send off for taxes.
As far as time off before Christmas, it just depends on when he leaves because we work up to that day. He's doing a short trip this year so he leaves tomorrow and we're back on the second. Luckily, he bought me the software I need to do all of my year end work from home since we are doing a shorter break.
