Re: Happy Friday!
looks like there aren't too many people around! I'll just be here this morning while I'm at work and then once I leave... craziness begins: still have to run errands, clean, set up the apt for my sister to stop by and take care of the cats, finish packing and fly out!
I'm also hoping so badly that the gift I made for my ILs on Snapfish arrives today...

Happy Friday!
I took DH to the bus this morning, so I went to Starbucks and got myself some oatmeal and a caramel br?l?e latte. Mmm!
We're headed to Bellingham this afternoon (DH is supposed to get off at 2, but we'll see if that really happens), so I have some last-minute packing to do. I also have to bathe M, get her all ready to go, and just make sure I'm not forgetting anything. We're taking a ton of stuff up with us, and it feels really daunting. But DH was good and got a lot of it loaded last night, so I don't have a lot to do, especially being solo and juggling the baby too.
I really hope everyone has a great weekend, and that you get what you want and need, and if you don't celebrate anything this weekend, I hope you get to relax and enjoy yourself!
Merry Christmas my lovely Seattle Nestie Besties!!

Good morning! DH is off today so we're starting on all of our Christmas errands. We have some cooking/baking to do and will go to the butcher to pick up the prime rib for Christmas dinner.
I finished all of the baking for my blog's 12 Days of Cookies and here's the last one. I'm so happy with how they turned out. Merry Christmas!
Happy Festivus! I'm not that into Christmas, so I'm celebrating Festivus by having 5-7 friends over tonight for a pizza dinner and drinks. It's super casual, but I look forward to socializing and celebrating the holiday season with my local "family."
I'll be home for Christmas Eve, since DH is working, but I hope to watch Girl with the Dragon Tattoo in the evening. Then I'll go up to my hometown to spend Christmas with my mom's side of the family.
I'm at work today, so I'll be here posting/lurking until 2 or 3 pm.

Morning ladies! I took today off unpaid, because DH was home. For some reason 5 days of freedom sounded better than 4!
Grocery shopping for us today and dinner reservations at what is going to be a subscription restaurant in Ballard. I'm super excited.
Tomorrow Seahawks vs. 49ers! Let's go Hawks! I'd be an exciting win!
Is the restaurant BC, by chance? I signed up for the mailing list when I saw an article in the Seattle Times. It looks like it should an amazing experience, and a decent price. Please report back

Yup, Belle Clementine. Family style dinner, with one seating a night. Dinner tonight is $35/per person and we have no idea what we are eating! You give them any food allergies when you make the reservation.
After the first of the year, they're going to do a subscription service for dinners. As well as brunch on Sundays.
Based on the email I got - this is what was served last week.
A winter salad of Treviso Radicchio, shaved golden beets and radish with champagne vinaigrette
Roasted Stokesberry organic chickens
Kabocha squash with sesame brown butter for the vegetarians
Rice with melted leeks and chard
Local Roots Farm Sweet Nantes carrots roasted with Ballard Honey and hazelnuts
Mexican wedding cookies and hand-rolled chocolate truffles
Menus on Thursday and Saturday featured wild black cod and roasted duck respectively, as well as a few different salads, grains, and veggies.
wow that's so cool! can anyone sign up? and then I'm guessing you have to make reservations pretty far out?

Email said they were still taking reservations for January. Their calendar and times of meals is on their website.
Subscription service isn't supposed to take shape until February, based on what I was told. Even then it sounds as if they might keep a few nights open.
I'm very intrigued by the concept.
And since I'm thinking of food and Ballard now.
If you're in the area I'd recommend stopping into the Sexton. It's a new bar on Ballard Ave.
We didn't try their specialty drinks last night, but had some of their small plates of food and it was all good. Mac & cheese with a balsamic reduction, cider braised ribs, collard greens with ham hock, and fried artichokes.
happy friday!
the day has been productive so far! h went to work, then we came home, did laundry cleaned the house, literally scrubbed walls and floors and everything in between. put the laundry away... and then he made me french toast.

jumped ship to the new and improved nest. back to TB for baby boards.
Hello! Yesterday was so nice! DH made a roast and potatoes for dinner, it was delicious. He gave me Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2 for my b-day. I'm pretty sure he meant for me to open Part 1, but he didn't remember which one was which. That's ok though! : )
I'm a little sad because my friend had to cancel getting our nails done together. I'm still going though, I'm looking forward to having my nails look all pretty.
DH keeps texting someone and he won't tell me who it is or what it's about. All he says is that it's a secret. And that Christmas is almost here...I want to know what it is dang it!
