Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

DTE Smart Meter

Hi ladies =)

I'll preface this by saying I'm going to call DTE shortly, I just am waiting for the receptionist to get here so I thought I'd ask.

Did any of you have a smart meter installed from DTE? We did in November and since then we haven't received a bill. Actually we didn't get a bill in October either (we did but it said $0). I'm scared that it's going to be huge when I call.

  • It's very possible they didn't do a read the last 2 months and your bill is going to be high, but I would call them and talk to them.  Everything will square out I am sure.  Good luck!
  • I don't fully understand their explanation, but it is straightened out for now. I'll believe it when the bill comes on time next month. & it wasn't as bad as it could have been :)
  • We had one installed in Sept or Oct.  and we never missed a bill.
