NYE plans

Anything exciting? What is your favorites thing to do on NYE?

Re: NYE plans

  • I have no plans.. and I'm bummed. For the past 10 years, my plans consisted of staying home, ordering chineese food, watching "the event" on tv and occasionally we'd have people over and do fireworks just before midnight.

Ive always wanted to go someplace and get all gussied up and have a nice evening out, but either because of DS being around (or too young) or because XH never wanted go out because "its crazy out there", Ive never been able to go out. I asked BF what he wanted to do and he's all "lets just stay home and chill." Booooooo.

  • No plans for us. We usually stay close to home and the past few years I've fallen asleep on the couch before midnight. We're pretty boring.

  • Not sure what we're doing this year, but my favorite thing to do is go to the Comedy Zone. They have an hour or so of stand up comedy and then dancing till 1 am. We got engaged there on NYE 2008, so it's special to us.

  • We usually stay home. The last couple years, we've had people over. Drink, eat, play games, watch the countdown. A few years ago, we went to the "pelican drop" downtown. (a lighted sculpture). It was fun!  They close the roads down, have bands, lots of restaurants and bars stay open.  It's like Bourbon street without the funky smells!

This year, I'm sure we'll just stay in. Maybe have some friends over.

  • My favorite thing to do on any holiday is eat :)  The last couple years, we have taken DD to our friend's house to hang out.  This year I don't think it's a good idea to keep her out too far past her bedtime so we'll probably be celebrating from the couch.  It's likely I will fall asleep before midnight.

  • Going downtown Orlando with my best friend, her husband and my O-town boy toy. I'm officially claiming my spot as the single party girl on the board LOL
  • I don't love being out and driving around late on NYE so we usually stay in but i'm not sure if anything is going on yet.
  • I don't care one bit about NYE. It's probably my least favorite holiday. Well, maybe second least after Valentine's Day. We're not doing anything. Going to the game on New Years Day though!

  • I reallly reallllllly want to get all gussied up & go out, so I think that's what one of my GFs & I are going to do Yes

    Now to figure out WHERE...

  • We decided to stay home and not invite anyone over. I'm going to curl up in bed with a bowl of popcorn and watch the NYE specials and DH is going to play his Star Wars game.

New Year's Day we'll get together with MIL & SIL for dinner.

  • We used to throw a party every year.. then we had a baby.  We'll be in Georgia this year visiting my family with both kids, so I doubt we'll do anything.

  • I am shooting a wedding until 30mins into the new year. DH is actually going to second-shoot for me, so I guess we are sort of going out.. haha.

  • We have a babysitter, so we are going somewhere. Dinner reservations and then who knows where we will end up.
