My Poppy - My stepmom's father - whom we all love dearly is in the hospital. He's 88 years old and has a pacemaker, but honestly he's the life of the party and is otherwise quite healthy with the exception of his heart problems. He went in today with Angina problems, and now they think he might have a blood clot in his arm. I wish this hadn't happened so close to Christmas
I'm asking for prayers for him to be cleared to come home tomorrow and not have to stay until Tuesday like they're talking! Besides, my Nana is a wreck (The same crazy Nana who had herself convinced I promised her to name Layla, Rosario, after her grandmother in some conversation that never happened.... nuts.)
But anyway, she's impossible to deal with when Poppy is sick, but yet she insists on taking him to St. Joseph's hospital in Bangor, which IMNSHO is understaffed and not a good place for him to be, He waited 4 hours for 2 tylenol because of a headache, they had to order it from the doctor (Who's on call, not actually present), then wait for the 1 pharmacy tech to fill the order, then wait for the 1 nurse to bring it around, by the time they came around he hadn't even gotten the Tylenol, and my aunt had fished a couple out of her purse for him to take instead of waiting so long. Gah. I just hope that this whole thing is cleared so he can come home soon!
Re: Prayers/Juju needed!
good thoughts to him for a quick recovery.
Our Christmas last year was similar, it was awful.
