PIP: So... was Santa good to you?
Re: PIP: So... was Santa good to you?
Though I didn't get much quantity-wise, the quality more than made up for it.
It turned out to be a very geeky Christmas:
Angry Birds plushies
A new gaming mouse
a WoW in-game Moonkin Hatchling pet (this is only cool to those who play, especially knowing that my character is a Balance Druid ^_^)
... but then....
My husband actually listened to me and bought be a Groupon for an hour-long massage and hour-long facial!
A snowman charm for my Pandora bracelet
the ILs were very big on makeup for me this year.... I wonder if they were trying to tell me something. BUT I did get the new Sephora Moonbaked Shadow palette, and a mini Fresh Sugar Plum stick, so I am not complaining.
my parents gave us money for our Las Vegas trip in April, but since my mother could never get away with just giving us one present, she added in the Vera Bradley scarf and Law & Order season 7
updated 10.03.12
Congrats to both my TTC buddies, Amberley18 and sb2006 on their beautiful babies!
My parents were very generous as always with lots of gifts from their trip to Florida from Disney and Universal: ornaments, coffee mugs, books, a Harry Potter pop-up book, candy and then I got a couple purses including this new Vera Bradley bag...
and a babycakes cake pop maker
The inlaws gave me gift cards for Torrid which is exactly what I wanted and a bonus gift certificate for a mani/pedi.
Jay went all out this year and I yelled at him but I love everything I got...
Furniture Fix for our broken couch
The Naked Pallette
and a beautiful sapphire and diamond ring (that I've been eyeing for years) in honor of our 10th Christmas together.
From the IL's we got our new convertible carseat for T and they also got me
wonderstruck by Taylor Swift, it smells really good
My Mom got me a bunch of clothes, a new pair of animal print flats and a ring holder.
and H got me a gift card to do some shopping, this coach scarf
and a new Micahel Kors bag
there was a bunch of little things in between but overall it was a good Christmas!
I was pretty spoiled this year.
Kevin/Nate got me:
OPI glitter set from Sephora
An iHome clock for next to my bed
A cookbook
This tank, another tank, a glitter cropped top, and a blue sweater from Express
and a car starter!
My IL's got me
A soda stream and extra bottles and syrup. They also got me some Bath and Body Works stuff I love and
this necklace to represent Nathan.
My mom got me Soda stream refills and a crock pot since I broke mine!
The lady I nanny for got me a digital picture frame.
Santa brought
2 Pottery Barn pillow inserts, a cable knit lumbar pillow and insert, and this blanket
Even though I got them early, I also got these boots:
and this diaper bag
:Blog:
I have gotten:
A Pandora bracelet and this charm from BIL/SIL/nephew:
Merril riding boots in matte black leather
3 books for my Nook
Tarte lip crayon set
Edward Cullen Barbie (it was a joke gift from my sister)
A new scarf/ hat set
The one who really raked it in was Grace.. she got multiple presents everywhere we went- including 2 "Happy Nappers" which are hilarious. She's been toting around the dragon since she opened it.
Stand up for something you believe in.
Can I say it was just okay?!? I love my husband but with him having the flu a week before Christmas, it didnt help in the gift department.
Mother in law bought us a toy box (for all Charlottes toys), polar fleece sheets- to me I am wondering if they wont make us sweat to death but we will see, a plug in pressure cooker (which is being returned because we wanted a stove top one- I know sounds bratty but its true) and she bought us a cookbook for the cooker.
My parents paid for our pool membership for the summer which was nice.
Money from the grandparents
Mark bought me a nine west bag (its going back- nice but nothing I would actually use due to the color) - he knew it wasn't what he wanted to get me so he wasn't surprised. He also bought me a coach wallet which is also going back because he got me one from the coach store (due to time constraints) and I refuse to pay full price for coach... just me being frugal.
I know I sound bratty I am sure- but Christmas was more for Charlotte this year and definitely not for me...
I can't PIP at work, but this year we did smaller gift to each other and got 3 'bigger' items for the both of us.
For both of us: A new router, a new computer monitor and a new printer
Ryan got me earings, a shower head and Beauty and the Beast
From the ILs: 2 folding tables so we don't have to borrow theirs anymore, slippers, gift cards to Joanne fabrics, Barnes and Noble, Itunes, and gas
I got lots of video games for the Wii and my DS.
The yarn caddy and needle case I've been eying up for 6 months.
A new laptop.
And my parents got me a new camera and a bunch of stuff to go with it.
