Question - got a bit shot for christmas....

where do you ladies buy your dies? And what are some of your favorites? I am mainly going to use it to cut felt to make hair clippies for my DDs.

TIA!

  • The great thing is that you can use lots of brands of dies in your machine. I've ordered from Oh my crafts before. I've also caught them on sale at Joann's and Michaels.

  • Oh no- you got a bit shot, and you're talking about dies-ing! :0)

For hairclips, some of my favorite dies are actually super cheap ones from Boss Kutz- they make some really cheesy dies, but, I have a little bird, a few flowers, and stars that are a great size for little clips. The Sizzix outlet used to be on Ebay and I scored a ton of great dies there for $1 each, but, they've moved it to their site. It's not as awesome anymore- but, it's still pretty good if you catch dies you like. You want steel rule dies for felt, though- so stay away from the sizzlets.

Nestabilities are great on felt- they're expensive, though, so I only buy them with 40-50%+ off deals.

And I have some basic shapes from Cuttelbug that work nicely on felt- but, ugh- Provocraft, so I can't recommend without selling my soul. :)

LOL - I had no idea what you were talking about until I reread my title!

Thanks for the advice. I grabbed on die on clearance at Michaels today and found a few at the sizzix outlet I am ordering today.
