best cinnamon roll recipe
I want to make cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning. I checked out PW's, but it makes a ton and we don't have the freezer space. I also checked out Alton Brown's, but I didn't buy instant yeast and I'm too lazy to brave the stores with two kids in tow.
Please share your tried and true recipe.

Re: best cinnamon roll recipe
Dani already did all of the math to half PW's recipe. Not sure if this helps - here's Dani's blog post.

I don't know of a cinnamon roll recipe that doesn't use yeast so you'll probably have to go to the store.
I've made these two in the past and both have turned out pretty good.

ETA I do have yeast...but I have the active yeast.
Keep the recipes coming. Thanks ladies!

Thanks Andrea! That's actually 1/4 of PW's recipe, but I also have the math written out for 1/2 of the recipe as well - it's what I'm using today, actually. Lauranne, if you're interested in it, let me know.
I've been googling active dry vs instant yeast because I'm almost out of the first and have a ton of the latter, so I may need to do some substituting. Looks like it's entirely possible, but I don't know if you want to bother with experimenting.
Good luck finding the recipe that works for you!
