Did it happen this way for you?

Since STBXH left, it's been a real rollercoaster. Everytime things get good, they are really good. When things get bad, it's like it's meant to break me.

As if spending Christmas without my daughter wasn't hard enough, she's supposed to come home tonight but I came down with flu-like symptoms, so it may be better for her to stay at her dad's.

But I miss my kid : And being up at the bum crack of dawn with things pouring out of every orifice of your body and being all alone SUCKS ASS!!!

  • Ugh that sucks that you're sick! Feel better.  Yes it is a roller coaster still--left XH 6 months ago, been divorced for 3.

  • I hope you feel better soon. And I'm sorry you weren't with your daughter for Christmas.

Yes, it's a roller coaster. I've been gone for a year, and I was all over the place at first. I'd been doing really, really well until lately, when it seemed like everything was falling apart and I've felt like crying most days. It's the anniversary of when I decided to get a divorce (last year), my grandmother and XFIL died (the year before, a few days apart), and just being alone. It gets better- the lows seem to come around way less often, and you can make it through them easier.

Good luck and merry Christmas :)

  • thanks girls. It seems to hit harder when you're alone in the bathroom in the middle of the night and the only other living soul to check on you in the house is the dog. He sucks at holding back the hair, LOL

I'm starting to feel a bit better though.
