How would you pronounce the name...

Tragon?  Like dragon with a T, or with a long "a" like Tray-gon?

I have a friend on fb with a son named Tragon and every time I see it I think how the hell do you say that?!

  • I'm thinking like dragon with a T, but who the hell knows. My awesome names of the week include: Nychole, Blayke and Toimenka.

There's a female high schooler at my school named Blayke....I guess they just HAD to have a y in there??  Indifferent to those other names.

I usually say it in my head like dragon with a T...their daughter's name is Isabella, so I don't get why one kid got a normal name and the other one got screwed in the name department.

  • I first read it as Tray-gon. Not sure why. I guess my brain automatically ruled out a name that sounded like dragon. Really? Why name your kid something that rhymed with dragon and even sounds like dragon unless you add more emphasis to the T?

My friend once new a kid name Abcde (a-bish-day). At least he knew the first five letters of the alphabet really well.

  • I call "urban legand" on the Abcde :)

I actually read it in my head as "Tray-zhon"

This makes the most sense even though it doesn't make any sense lol

    Thumbs up to both.

  • I would assume they were going for Tray-gon. But why not just spell it that way in that case?

I agree. You know it's not pronounced anything like how it's spelled!

I know someone who named her dog Abcde. I have no idea how she pronounces it.

  • I think it's Trayshaun but it doesn't have enough apostrophes, dashes and random capital letters for me to set my answer in stone. ;)
