Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

Kindle Owners-
I got one for Christmas, it's just the base model (I figured with all my other gadgets I'd just want to use it for reading and nothing else). I haven't played with it much yet, but everytime I set it down an ad pops up onto the screen and then when I go to my home screen there is an ad there too down across the bottom. WTF? I don't understand how they can advertise on a purchased device. That'd be like everytime I pick up my cell phone there's an ad there, or every time I log onto my computer-ad. Is this normal and is there any way I can turn it off? It's driving me crazy.
