Re: 2011
and to be honest, i'm so happy about it.
2011 was a rollercoaster. the beginning was tough, the middle was tough, the end was tough. along the way, some family relationships crumbled and some got stronger.
today my dad's side of the family is having an event and i wasn't invited. i didn't think i was sad about it, actually i kinda forgot that we usually do xmas eve together.. my cousin text me and told me it didn't feel like xmas because i wasn't there. it made me cry. i still am in shock that i wasn't even invited.
tomorrow we are seeing H's family and they have seriously felt like my only family this year. besides my very beautiful friends. it is such a breath of fresh air. it just feels so good.
i talked to my mom in the first time in 1 year 2 months 10 days. she made excuses as to why she and i hadn't talked in that long, and although she kept crying during her stories, i stayed strong.. it was nice to know that she was safe.
hoping the next week is fab.
I'd say 2011 has been a good year for us.
- We moved to a larger "place/home" in March and wouldn't go back to having less than what we have now!
- We traveled to visit my family several times, which is always nice.
- I became an auntie to an adorable little niece.
- We found out we were going to be parents in 2012.. pretty excited about that.. but it has got to be the biggest change of everything that happened so far in 2011.
- I traveled to the mid-west for the first time(obviously with my hubby). Went to several National Parks. Saw Old Faithful.. I could go on and on.
- Went to the SU! Convention again, so excited about that because it's so much fun!
- Sewed more items than I ever have in my life, as well as a little girls dress for the first time.
That's just to list a few things.. I'm sure I could come up with more

jumped ship to the new and improved nest. back to TB for baby boards.
2011 was a good year for me.
I had the worst case of Bride Brain from January to early May. But the second our ceremony ended and we were walking down the aisle it was like a cloud lifted and I was able to think like a sane person again (and no more dozens and dozens of To-Do lists!).
May to September was super fun with our wedding/honeymoon and weddings of many of our friends.
The Huskies had a pretty good football season, and I had a great time tailgating and attending games.

Lots of changes it seems for me. I swear, it felt like there were so many years there that kind of just went along on their way, but this year has had several unique events:
2011 was a bit of a rollercoaster for me, too.
was diagnosed with hypothyroidism. went on a rollercoaster for treatment before finally locking in on the proper medication and dose.
started eating paleo. went low-carb. successfully lost 40 pounds, and went from a size 12ish, to a size 4. fit into a designer sample-sized wedding dress with no alterations. still need to re-lose about ~15 pounds that I regained with my foot injury, but I know it won't be an issue.
moved back to the city (officially buying our first house together, our other house was bought in DH's name). became landlords.
and the best: got married to my amazing husband. we've been together for 7 1/2 years, have a house together, and 2 pets, but there's something to be said about being able to call him my husband, and officially be "married." also decided to change my name, which was a huge decision for my feminist self
.
and the craziest: broke my foot a day and a half before our wedding, spent our honeymoon on crutches, and suffered a blood clot due to repercussions from the injury.
