Madison and Milwaukee Suggestions
DH and I are taking DD (almost 2) on a few night trip to Wisconsin. We're in Illinois, so we're driving in. We have a hotel in Madison but can pass through Milwaukee on our way. We're going to end up in the Dells as our last stop. We're looking for a few things to do in Madison, Milwaukee or the areas between there. We were hoping for an aquarium, but I can't seem to find one! I saw Madison has a children's museum, so we'll probably check that out. We will be traveling in January, so outdoor activities are probably out. Any other suggestions? TIA!

I'd recommend Betty Brinn. I used to nanny while I was in school in MKE and took the kids to BB all of the time. You could easily spend a few hours there and it's right off of I-94.
I wouldn't reccommend Discovery World for a 2 year old. I took the kids when one was 2 and the other 4 and a lot of the exhibits were interesting, but too advanced for young kids. They have a replica of the great lakes and it "storms" over it. I left with a stroller and 2 bawling children because it scared them so badly.
When are you going? Depending on the weather, another option is Brookfield Zoo. It's huge and good for kids of all ages. It's also right off of the interstate on your way to Madison from downtown (94-W, get off at Highway 100)
