how to clean glass cooktop on stove?
I'm renting and they have one. I hate it but I do want to keep it clean - it was already a little damaged when I got here. Any advice? TX
Re: how to clean glass cooktop on stove?
I LOVE mine and have had it forever and it still looks new.
I use that W cleaner mentioned above, and the trick is to not cook over a spill. Clean it up first.
The glass top is the easiest cleaning stovetop I have ever had, gas or electric. It always looks good.
Ditto each sentence except the first (we don't have one in our house now but did in our last house and apartment before that).
I just used the stove cleaner mentioned above wtih a green scrubby pad.
I'll trade you in a heartbeat, I have a crappy builder grade coil stove and LOATHE it.
I do this for anything baked on. For regular everyday cleaning I just use dishsoap & a microfiber cloth.
Bar Keeper's Friend, if you don't mind the smell of it. It works really well on pretty much everything, but I try to reserve it for extra-tough jobs like baked-on messes on cookie pans and deep cleaning because I hate its scent! LOL.
Easy-Off has a really great cooktop cleaner. I use it with a Scotch-Brite Non-Scratch sponge and it does an AMAZING job.
If you want to use something you have around the house, I'd say just go with baking soda and vinegar. Never fails!
