Apple overload!

I would just like to say that I am maxed out on Apple products! :-D

I've never been into electronics really.  I just needed my computer, and phone to get me from point A to point B; no bells or whistles needed.

But, my DH got me an iPhone 4S and a Macbook Air for Christmas, neither of which was on my list, because, well, I'm not techno savvy, and I figured I'd hold onto my PC until it absolutely died, (which it was about to do anyways, but still) and because I never even think of asking for electronics when it comes to gifts.

On top of that, two weeks ago, my sis gave me an old iPod shuffle of hers since she had two others already.

I went from having zero Apple products in my life, to having three in the span of two weeks! And honestly, no slam against my dearly beloved windows, but Macs are sleek, clutter-free-feeling, and they have white electrical cords which are so much prettier than black ones, and I don't know how I lived this long without it.  For real.

Do I know what I'm doing on any of this stuff?  Haaayyyeeellll nah.  But I'm finally out of the dark ages ladies haha.

Any tips for how to use said products (no joke) or game recommendations for Mac users?

Yipppeeee!

Re: Apple overload!

  • I never had anything Mac until last Christmas when I got my MacBook.  Since then I have gotten an Iphone and Ipad.  I am a total convert and I love it!  I will never go back.

As far as apps go, the biggest ones I have are different newspapers and news stations, Zite, Words with Friends, Oregon Settler.  I am pretty cheap and don't like paying for apps, so I don't get as many as I would like.

    Enjoy!

    my read shelf:
Robin's book recommendations, liked quotes, book clubs, book trivia, book lists (read shelf)
  • Ha, I am a PC, but love my iPad that I got for work. Not much help I can be with the rest of their products, though... Enjoy :)

  • Enjoy!

Those are fantastic gifts. I use all Apple products now, so let me know if you have any specific questions.

As for iPhone apps to start with, definitely get flipboard. It is a great news app that you can customize. It is a great way to read your Google reader too.

Pandora and Spotify have good apps. So do Facebook and Pinterest. These are all free.

As for games, I really like Cut the rope, tiny wings, and fruit ninja.

Enjoy all of your new toys!
