Anyone familiar with dead sea salts?
Not sure if this is the right board but thought some of you who do DIY bath salts might be familiar with dead sea salts....While on vacation I stopped in a homemade bath store and I bought some dead sea salts. Taking a bath in them helped my psoriasis tremendously. Will any dead sea salt have this affect? I don't know if I could just order some more online or if I should order some more of the same from the boutique where they were quite a bit more money.
Re: Anyone familiar with dead sea salts?
I googled and this was my first hit. It has a link to where you can purchase sea salt online and, it is NOT expensive.
Good to know about the healing properties; I made some for my friend who suffers with psoriasis. Score!

Dead Sea Salts come from the Dead Sea ... You cannot make it, despite comment by pp. You can make bath fizz using the salts. The dead sea mud and salt has healing qualities. I "floated" in the dead sea twice in my life - and my psoraisis magically disappeared for a while. I still get flare ups in the summer, years later. I get your enthusiasm!!
I would find some online and try it - it will be hard to know if it is authentic..but you know the boutique sold you something that worked. Is relief worth the extra money? Either way, you have good chances ... the Dead Sea is drying up and leaving only salt behind!!
I didn't say, or mean to imply, that I made Dead Sea Salt; I meant that I made bath fizz with it.
