Birthday present for DH?
Here's the list of ideas he gave me: drill, router, air compressor? maybe a new ipod?
I have a Target gift card that I could use to get the ipod, but I'm not sure he would want one of the new nanos and I'm too cheap to get the itouch. But I'm afraid to buy him tools...sort of like him buying me a bra. 
But a gift card to Home Depot feels so lame.
Thoughts? Of course his birthday is tomorrow.

I wouldn't be too nervous about buying a drill actually, there aren't that many options. Just go to Home Depot (or wherever) and I would go with Dewalt brand. Tell them what you want to spend, there is a drill to fit your price range. Worst case scenario he can exchange it.
I also hate picking out practical/tool presents for my DH. I hope you found something fun today to give him.
